Hey. My name's Reece and, if I ever upload music on here, I'll upload music written for my solo project, TAFE (which stands for The Aluminium Foil Experiment). The music is usually written with my seven-string guitar tuned to GDGCFAD, but sometimes I tune it to ADGCFAD. It's mostly in an experimental metal vein, I suppose, with tinges of symphonic metal, progressive metal and art rock. The guitars tend to be not that technical as I am more of a drummer, but I reckon I make the most of what I'm capable of. I derive most of my influences from bands like Tool, Dream Theater, Killswitch Engage, Meshuggah, TesseracT, Nightwish, Alarum, A Day To Remember, In Flames, etc.
Besides having a solo metal project, I'm also part of a noise art/dark ambient project with my friend, Nelson, called Black Luminance. I record all the samples, compose everything and mix it all together, but Nelson makes the imagery and records unintelligible screams and what-not when I want him to. I'm also the drummer in several bands. Most of these bands fit into some form of metal, albeit with additional elements such as keyboards, odd time signatures and non-western scales. These bands are called Dementia.1841 (melodic metalcore), Modified Madness (progressive metal) and Sin-Dication (pop-punk/hardcore).
Please note that I do not have sufficient resources for recording my material at this time. So my uploads, at present, will most likely be recordings from Guitar Pro.
