I am a graduate of Springfield High School currently attending Lane Community Collage working towards an AAOT in Geology. Just finished my first year and am well on my way. I have been playing mallet percussion instruments for eight years, since sixth grade band, piano for seven and I have been composing for much longer than that but that picked up significantly when I joined band and then when I started piano lessons. I like to think that Antonin Dvorak is my greatest influence but I know that I probably get more from Beethoven and Chopin. I haven't tried writing for more modern styles much until recently because I have always been real bad at it but I think that some of my more indy sounding stuff is pretty good and I think i want to start writing more folk music and the like. My basic disclaimer, I don't have an instrument of my own or a real good method for recording yet as all that stuff is out of my price range so all of my music so far is created with Finale 2007 and all sounds are midi. So don't hate me because the instruments sound bad and I haven't quite figured out how to get the dynamics just how I want them.
