“B” short for Biniqua is a writer who is as unique as her name. Biniqua was influenced early on by the music heard throughout the Harlem, NY apartment of her grandfather who is a member of the 1950’s Doo-Wop group "The Harptones.” B, as she likes to be called because of her laid back nature, continued to develop her craft by listening to artist of all genres. She especially paid attention to not only the overall sound of a song but it's lyrical content. B became classically trained in Opera as a student of the Harlem School of the Arts where she trained as a private student learning songs in Italian and German. She went on to become a member of the famed Harlem School Chorus where she received the opportunity to travel and perform in great venues such as the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Being given the chance to perform has allowed Biniqua to approach each song she writes from an artist’s perspective. Every influence and each opportunity has helped to water the seed God has placed in Biniqua from the very beginning. It is only a matter of time until B grows into the published songwriter she truly is.
