I'm a parodeity writer. I like to take the words to secular songs (rock for now), and make Christian songs out of them. I'm looking for musicians who are interested in performing/recording the songs I've written. Below is a sample of one of the parodeities I wrote. Many more are available on my web page at parodeities.webs.com.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE? – Bill Fiedler (parodeity of “Who Do You Love?” – Bo Diddley
You drive 57 miles for the job.
You say that’s what it takes just to get by.
Fancy house with no money on the side.
Half your pay that’s no lie.
You waited in line for the newest phone.
Don’t wanna be left behind.
Does it sound like you?
Then get real people.
And tell me, what do you love?
What do do you love? (4X)
Money and status that’s your sign.
What will it take to stop all your whining?
What do you love? (4X)
When you look around town, you want more than a sip.
I hope you’ll start thinking, God’s got some great tips.
What do you love? (4X)
(instrumental)
Ride is parked, all shiny and new.
You’re out looking, for someone to sue.
They’re all chumps, so let them all scream.
Do it all to get some green.
What do you love? (4X)
Jesus has a better plan.
If you’ll just look to him, you’ll start to understand.
What do you love? (4X)
