In 1992 Malmö five Child-Hood (15 years of age at the time) friends started a Reggae band named D Roots.
They where later joined by two more friends and played numerous gigs and festivals until 1997.
After a year without a band Alex Spasic (then the keyboard player) reformed the band and got it back together with other musicians joining the band, and recorded their first EP in 1998.
Working with different musicians and projects under that period only to delay the formation of D Roots., Alex called upon two of his friends ( Dejan Stankovic and Petar Caulev) from 1992 to once again in 2005 set the core of the present band.
In 2008 D Roots signed their first record deal to a Swedish independent label and recorded just 4 tracks before they decided to leave the label.
Working hard and playing they formed their own independent label Typicon Music Co and recorded and released their debut album “Liberation” in April 2011 and their first official video ( Ovski Media) in July 2011.
D Roots are now starting on their second album named “ The Way Of Love “ and is planned to May 2012. During this time D Roots will perform numerous gigs and record a second video with their friend Martin Najdenovski at Ovski Media.
D Roots are working together with their agent/manager in the US, Mr. Benjamin Marcus ( Zionway Recordings US.) to bring them stateside! The tour will be named “ From Within Babylon Tour 2012 “.
