The Mages Guild is the roadside drunken inn culmination of four depraved yet stable mindsets from the Pacific North West. Breakin sets from the South Wall Corner Club to The Summerset Isles, and hosting talent from The Abyss (Washington) to The Land of the Lotus Eaters (Oregon), this ensemble seeks (if anything) to break down the barriers between reason, logic, and skooma induced madness. Oliver Platinum, Constant Effect, Virgin Immobile, and Half-Black Magick seem uniquely poised to take you to the edge of the nerdcore infused quasi-post ghettotech club banger genre, weather permitting or not. With vox from celebrated hip-hop veterans like O. Platinum, whose claiming to be the illegitimate child of Kool Keith and Too $hort has enraged more the a few fans of both artists. but no one can argue that his style hits with all the subtlety of a drive by on high powered blotter acid performed while doing headstands on the vehicular cast of Maximum Overdrive, Platinum definitely brings the most testicular fortitude to the group. Others may find the cadence of Virgin Immobile's "heavy-sedated spring break in January style coconut bangers ball" to put them in a place that feels not unlike taking six rails of Ketamine and promptly following it with a pint of Red Eye Gravy. He'll break his fast on your broken heart before he breaks your hymen. Also new classic artists like Constant Effect, whose busted, yet high energy no-doze flow, and feral animal looks are sure to make the crowd either wonder why the came, or raise the roof in wholehearted attempt to get the fire dept. to show up. Think of him as the magniloquent mongoose that your wife fancies. And let us not forget Half-Black Magick, whose "blow every corner that you know in the universe" style, will promptly, have you shopping for a brand new universe. With H.B.'s radical club heat dose of one bar to the next philosophy raps, knitted into a tight chain of brain freeze, you will have heard the guild in action. Could it be, have you finally ended up with the answer to all your years of waiting and longing to see an artist you can truly relate to.......? nope.....just The Mages Guild, bitch! sit back... .....enjoy... and do a lap of Vvardenfell to this shit.
