DeMarcus Deon Evans born December 4, 1989, better known by his stage name Big Mic "like as in microphone", is an rapper, producer, and songwriter. He was raised on the eastside of Birmingham, AL. At a young age of 14 he was blessed with the talents of both rapping and producing. After graduating high school "Huffman High c/08" he focused primarily on his musical abilities, which included rapping and producing. "Christian Rap was the first thing I started off with I never did secular rap, like rapping about random stuff on how much money I got and how many girls i can get cause that was just not me. At the age of 14 that's when I gave my life to Christ and when I started my walk with him. I fell In love with Christian Rap after listening to Cd from a Christian Rap group called The 116 Clique which consist of artist Lecrae, Trip Lee, and Tedashii. That was my first time finding out about Christian Rap. The Cd was so hot and the delivery of the words and the hot beats was so on point that my homeboy Willie said this is what we should do. At first I really didn't know what to talk about I was like how I'm suppose to use my gift to reach people, but after studying and reading his word with my homeboy Willie who broke the word down for me so i can understand his word better which gave me ideas and a better understanding of what to write and who Jesus really was. After realizing this is my calling and what God want me to do and how much this can change somebody's life out there so it became my primary focus.
