Born November 4, 1981 in southern Maryland, Tha Pilot made his first attempts at rapping at the age of 15 . His name was derived from his leadership capabilities & his determination to carry people along with him on his journey. Inspired by Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, and Nas, He made his first public performance 2002 at a local Seattle venue. His was an instant local favorite and released his debut mixtape in 2008, which sold 5000 copies out the trunk in the first 6 months. With hit tracks like "What Must I Say" and "Catch Me In The Wind", the mixtape became a fan favorite almost immediately. Tha Pilot has graced the stage as an opening act for industry greats such as: Twista, Bone Thugs, E-40, Tech-Nine, Mobb Deep, & Joe Budden, just to name a few. With a natural ability to excite the crowd, his shows seem to turn into an all-out party on and off stage. He is definitely one to keep in rotation on your cd decks and ipods for years to come.
