People call me Mike. Ladies call me Michael. Behind the production scenes, they call me Patches. behind the mic, people call me Moses P. Music has been in my blood since birth, with a long history of family members being either disk jockeys or actual recording artists. It was only natural for myself and other family members in my generation to pick up where they left off. I've been rhyming since the age of 13 but have been following my passion for beat making / production since I was 17. As I got older, my music collection expanded outside of hip-hop, r&b, and jazz and crossed over to classic rock, world music, and other genres that people don't expect for me to know. I believe that has a huge influence on the type of music that I make. Funny thing- messing around making beats was just an after-school hobby of mine in high school. Family and friends liked what I made and I just kept doing it until I realized that I have the potential to do something good with what I do. I admit, I still have a lot to learn, but I am more than willing to listen and take advice, especially if it can help me become better at what I do. I am an firm believer in karma, hence the name. Chicago raised me, and to this day, has a huge influence on my music. Enough about me though, I hope the music speaks for itself...
