Esena is planning a huge comeback for 2009-2010 to rival the success of the hit single “Clappin In My Skurt” The rapper’s last album was loved by critics and she recently ended her four-year recording deal with Diamond Management. (Thus the wait for the return)
Meanwhile, Esena has scored a number one single called "Weekend Gurl", while her album "Should Esena Commin is still in the works. “ I been waiting to release this album due to politics in music, I would rather sit and let time go by (referring to contract) then to have somebody change my style”
Esena has now decided enough is enough and it's time to reclaim her crown. She is working on new material and she reckons this is the best stuff she has ever come up with. There could even be another hit like “Breathless”
The rapper, who left the game in 2005, was asked to join a number of groups, and record labels, when she first put the word out about her comeback, but she turned the offers down. It has since been rumored that she would join BMI for a one-off performance, but her former producer Quinn said: "There is no place for Esena to take second stage and just do feature verses anymore“
