Born & raised in southern Illinois in the small town of Lawrenceville, Nick began playing drums at 6 years old. His parents bought him his first guitar when he was only 7, and his father showed him his first chords. He formed his first band at 15, and started playing live shows at 16. For the next 10 years he worked to perfect his sound by playing every juke joint, and honky tonk in the midwest. He had wrote, and recorded his own songs, but in the winter of 2008 inspiration struck, and he wrote 21 new songs, the bulk of which will make up his debut album. Set to release in the summer of 2009 (unsigned). Nick writes about what he knows, and loves...country music. Songs like "Red, White & Blue",and "Cowgirls Drive Me Crazy" are a small peek to how he thinks, and lives. His version of heaven is clearly described in "Hillbilly Heaven". He is as honest as his lyrics, and being the country boy he is he has translated that feeling into his music. "I love doing what i do, and i'll do it til I die". Nick Cross
