what you need is a midi keyboard controller and connect that to fruity loops.. when I started I used Reason.. I feel in engine reason uses is more high quality. but in the mean time, just use fruity loops as your sequencer, the mv 8000 as the drum machine and the midi controller to play your melodies, bass lines, etc... Ive made some sick sh*** with the midi controller and I still use it every now and then even though I have a Fantom G6. a couple VSTI you should look at are Hypersonic 2.0 and Blue.. They have HIGH QUALITY Professional Acoustic, Synths, Drums, etc. Your beats dont have bass lines so the midi controller would help you with that... just listen to the guys at the top of the charts and dont copy their style but listen to their arrangement and what they have goin on in their beats and compare it to yours... Even if your not lookin for a complex beat, try to add some bass to it some how either with a bass synth, a bass guitar, or some 808's... im sure the mv has a bunch of
