ASAHI effect is an American J-pop duo, formed in January of this year. It's members met through a Japanese pen pal site in 2006, and shared an interest in Japanese language and culture, as well as in music. It took three years for them to decide to form a duo and start making music. After learning how to use music-making software, and they started creating songs much faster than expected. They plan to release their first EP in late April, around the time of their first live performance.
