John Dew. My sounds is reminiscent of that is A southern stylistic, version of UGK mixed with Jay Z, and a heavy dose of Outkast. Sounds like Kanye West meets Slim Thug. A classy sound to ride around the city listening too. I am a solo artist from Houston, Tx. I have a sound that defies the screwed up mentality plaguing the south although, it is a very familiar sound to the streets, it transcends from the streets into any arena where music is heard. I was born in Houston Texas. I have been part of two rap groups. The first in High school, but the second post college. After graduating from high school I went to college in Arlington, Tx for two years. That is where I really began developing my craft as an MC. I began doing live shows on the college scene, and then moved on to local shows. After my second year of college was finished I moved to back to Houston and transferred to Prairie View A&M University where I graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. While finishing college and now after, I have done numerous shows around the city. I have done various venues from House of Blues, to Dean's C.C., Jet Lounge, Zula, The Mink Backroom, and numerous other rap show. I have had had music played by the it's hottest DJ's the Go DJ Mr. Rogers, DJ Fire, DJ Hi C, and DJ Rod D. I am in the process of putting together a record demo with the goal to soon have major distribution.
