I got into making music on the computer at the start of 2009. I hadnt recorded anything for 4 years and kinda had to take on a steep learning curve with regards to DAW, VSTs, and technical difficulties (thanks to all at KAE for their help and support). But its been fun and its good to return to music again.

Here is my entry for the great KAE Cup Challenge for the month of April. The theme was "Home" and I was well pleased with my recording and how easy it came about. This is one of my better efforts and Im hoping to do a 2nd mix which will have better performed vocals and a slightly more even structure. I hope you enjoy.

I surprised myself by entering a song into the KAE monthly challenge. Surprised, as in I knocked the song up in 8 hours and submitted it 2 days before the deadline. The challenge is to create and enter a song which must adhere to certain criteria (which changes each month) but only have a month in which to do so. For the Feb 09 challenge the critera was to base a song on a particular tv show/film. I chose On The Buses, as its one of my favourite comedies. The songs a bit of a trance, meets Happy Mondays, meets The Gossip fusion.

Well this is exciting. Ive uploaded my first solo digital recording "Times No Healer". Its not the finished article by any means and I'll be doing some further production/edting. Hopefully it will be the first of man songs as I feel very inspired to write music at the moment. Hope u enjoy.
