Like so many others, Greg started playing in his early years of high school. Being drawn to music for as long as he can remember, it was a natural choice. After a couple years of playing in garages and basements, teaching himself to play bass by listening to guitar heros like Eddie Van Halen and George Lynch, Greg started with his first live performances. It didn’t take long for people to realize Greg took everything a little more seriously and devoted a little more time to his trade than anyone else. Discovering Greg was a natural performer was just icing on the cake. While finishing High School, Greg began teaching himself to read music and studying Jazz while still playing with a number of various musical groups. Afterward, Greg went on to collage for Music Education and spent his summers at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. In theory classes, Greg learned a whole new appreciation for the Baroque and Classical periods of music, applying the use of multiple moving lines to his original compositions. During this time, Greg made sure to keep active on stage performing with as many as five groups at a time. Everything from driving Rock to Jazz to Classical Acapella Vocal Ensembles. During extended breaks Greg was known to tour with various Jazz ensembles. It was at this point Greg really started to hone his style and technique on the bass drawing from all his influences.
