A closer look
Born February 21st 1986 in Tulsa Oklahoma -- Christian Urban/Pop singer-songwriter-dancer-youth presenter, KD Johnson, is an absolute breath of fresh air in an, otherwise, stale musical climate, By using words to uplift our young people through music and motivational speaking.
As the son of Indianapolis Colts' chaplain, Ken Johnson, KD and his father have been traveling the countryside, spreading the good word, while at the same time ushering in his very own unique brand of what he deems, "Christian Entertainment."
KD Johnson spoke/performed in front of over 300,000 young people in 2009 and will hit certainly hit over 400,000 in 2010. KD is the first Christian/Gospel artist to land the feature front cover of the Hype Magazine. KD’s new single “I got it bad” has over 34,000 hits on MySpace alone as KD has built of fan base of over 25,000 fans through his social networking sites as he is increasing daily.
“I didn't perform at every local event in my city” KD says nonchalantly. Further mentioning, “I worked on my national appeal and worked to have them pay me. I believe that I am worth my hire!” This isn't necessarily the words of an overly confident person, but, instead, someone whose vision is a whole lot grander than any one particular place or region. KD's uplifting message is one of Universal appeal!

KD Johnson draws a crowd of 2,000
Nov 25, 2010
The Indianapolis native, who is regarded as the country's No. 1 Christian urban pop artist, put on a dynamic almost evangelistic concert Wednesday night at White River Valley Junior-Senior High School gym. An estimated 1,500-2,000 students and adults listened, danced, yelled and screamed and lifted their hands in praise for several hours during what KD likes to call his "Christian entertainment show." The music was very loud ---- room-shaking loud. But his message was clear and reverberated with the youngsters who crowded the stage for most of the night and were turned into a near-frenzy state as Johnson, wearing sunglasses, a glove on his left hand, and a huge gold chain necklace and cross, belted out his tunes and danced in the fashion made famous by the late pop star Michael Jackson. On his new album "The Re-Evaluation" you will find songs about relationship, faith and love for Jesus. Fifteen minutes before the door opened, KD led a prayer with his crew, concert staff members, and bands. -Story by Nick Schneider, Assistant Editor GCdailyworld.com The DVD of the live show will be available at the beginning of the year! catch a home made style sneak peak here: Youtube.com/kdtheprince
