Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Luiz Bandonne
got his first instrument at age 5.
At 8 he started learning piano and guitar.
In 1969 formed his first band.
Years later, he met a young guy crazy for guitars.
In the rehearsals breaks he used to ask if he
could play a little.
Some time after he said: I'm learning a lot!
This young guy became one of the most accomplished
guitar players in the world and a very good friend:
Romero Lubambo.
At age 17 composed his first song and discovered
that if playing was good, composing was even better.
Took part on student's festivals and won several of them.
In the 70's started to attend MAU's meetings where he
had the opportunity to meet Ivan Lins and Gonzaguinha
among many others.
At this same time he met Marcos Vale through band friends
Nando and Cleberson (Famks), now Roupa Nova.
In 1976 graduated in Economics.
Recently decided to retake his carrer with his band
BANDONNE.
