Shawty Polo's interest in music did not materialize until September of 1996 when his mother informed him of the passing of the prolific Tupac Shakur. Upon researching the lyricist and his impact upon society, a spark unearthed itself within Polo. From that moment on, that spark gradually morphed into an artistic flame. Polo has become a highly respected and sought after beatmaker and producer as well as a writer and MC. AS the ghostwriter for various mainstream artists, Polo has added D4L, Grand hustle and CTE to his producing resume. Polo is an 'one-stop shop' artist, with the ability to create artistic gold start to finish for himself or any other artist. He is the epitome of an artist on the rise.
