I've just read back my profile interview and do I sound really boring?!
Respect to The Schwa Sound for letting me know about Soundclick.
In the late 90s I thought I was great, unstoppable, a cool bassist in some cool Indie bands. They fell away though, we weren't working hard enough, I was too controlling, we appeared on TV once for 2 minutes in 1998. Basically I stopped everything, got married, had a family, focused on the day job. But then a friend of mine in work introduced me to a whole host of new music from the iTunes generation. I was transformed, I really wanted to get into songwriting again so I started focusing, got some reasonable equipment together and started getting back to basics (assisted by only having 4 tracks to work with anyway, but it kind of helps being economical, and mixing is much quicker). So there we are, a message from Wales with love to the whole planet. I hope you like it.

After 2 years getting under people's feet, shuffling around uninspired, I've got back to recording, and with a new direction. Maybe people won't like Fruit Bag and We Are Peaceful People, but have a listen anyway. Fruit Bag has already been played on BBC radio in the UK so this new direction may be not such a bad thing, the most important thing, I'm having fun.

Well it's a new year, I've started trying to get fit, eating less, being good to neighbours and small animals (not necessarily in that order)... But something stirred, if anyone has heard 'Fitter Happier' by Radiohead (off 'Ok Computer') then they'll know what I mean. I started getting nervous that I could turn into the robot voice speaking on the track, become another processed human manipulated by media hype/advice and no longer 'living' as such. Then I thought well it will do me good anyway to lose a few pounds and be more generous to others. I'll feel better about things, positive energy coming out of every pore. Then my bathroom sprung a leak only this morning and soaked the Kitchen floor downstairs.
