Tushomey was born into the world of music first as a hip-hop artist with a cutting edge street style, before developing into a gifted up-and-coming producer. He was born in 1976 in Columbus, Ohio as Glenn P Jr. By participating in Rap and Beatbox contests, it sparked his interest to become a recording artist. But his interest was initially deterred by his gang affiliations in the inner city ghettos of East Columbus Ohio. Being a misguided youth, he fell into violence, drug dealing, and the dark life. He was paralyzed from the waste down and came close to death, trying to survive during the hardest times of his life. The beginning of his ascent into the music industry began at the age of 17, just one year after he moved to California. Teaming up with producer Big Jess from Watts Up Productions, Tushomey recorded his first rap track “Bumpin On The West Side.” under the name SoLo. At 19, he was brought in to the new label, Menes Records as a song writer for the recording artist L.A. Nash. While in the studio writing for Nash, he himself was offered to record a song. Menes records artist Swift was at the studio and jumped on the hook. Seldom Seen and Swift recorded “We Click Like Dat” (1996). This song eventually opened up the ears of Death Row Records producer Jeff Mays. Impressed by their street sound and originality, Mays offered Seldom Seen the opportunity to record three songs, one with the prospect of being placed on the soundtrack of the movie “Game Related.
