Southern California’s very own P-beat fucking champions and Pooh-core legends-Armistice- formed in the year 1990 out of the harbor area in Southern California. Armistice has been known as a very prominent band in socal’s anarcho punk scene and have several recordings to date including 5 demo’s, a split LP with Ciril, a full length LP off of Despotic Records, a 7” split with Flux Of Disorder, a full length 7”, and have been on what seems like a million different compilations. [Also appearing on the ever popular profane existence 1999 comp “aftermath”.]
Armistice has played boat loads of shows with some amazing bands throughout the years, most notably playing a show with The Varukers, a few west coast tour dates in ’96 with Detestation, playing in ’98 with Aus-Rotten and Anti-Product and played with Wolfpack in 2000.
Armistice has also done many benefits such as: anarchist center in LA, various food not bombs (Pasadena, San Diego, LA, Bakersfield, Montebello, Whittier, Long Beach, etc), anti racist action, October 22nd collation, Lorenzo Irvin (political activist) benefit, several anti-police brutality benefits, P.A.R.T, various animal rights benefits, and so on.
Inspite of member changes Armistice has stuck together and still pump out “100% paws in the air punk rock” Armistice currently resides in the harbor area and promises to record an LP very soon!!!
