Kaylan Barratt aka K-Type Is A Drum & Bass, Breaks, and Dubstep DJ And Producer From British Columbia Canada.His Fascination With Music Started Early, Whether It Was Hanging Out At His Dads Radio Station Learning To Use The Mixing Board Or Djing His Grade 7 Dance With A Couple Of Tape Decks, K-Type Always Knew He Would Be Involved In The Music Industry In One Way Or Another.It Was'nt Until He Moved To Nelson From Vancouver In 1998 At The Age Of 16 That He Knew How He Would Be Involved In Music.Shortly After Moving To Nelson In Mid 1998, K-Type Was Invited By Some Friends To Go To His First Rave.The Rave Inspired Him To Start DJing, So He Bought His First Pair Of Decks And Spent Several Months In His Basement Learning To Mix, Mostly House And Garage.Eventually In Early '99 A Friend Gave Him A Few Mixtapes, Freaky Flow Vol. 7, A Czech DJ Mix, And A Dabbler Mixtape, It Was Love At First Listen And He's Been Involved In The Electronic Music Scene Ever Since.As Of Late K-Type Has Begun A Dubstep Project With Bestfriend And Partner In Crime L-Nix, Called 'OrbAtak' Named After The Early 90's Video Game.
