MTB ARTIST SPOTLIGHT----Winfield Davis, C Street.
Bermuda native, now Tampa Bay composer, bassist, guitarist & percussionist, Winfield Davis captures the essence of true smooth jazz, with extra layers of lush, mellow sound stylings that should put some nationally recognized masters of the genre on notice. Music Tampa Bay was proud to recently feature his newest CD, “C Street“ the title cut of which is now moving up the MTB Great 48 Playlist
The music of Winfield Davis is a brilliant center piece in the crown jewel of talent that represents not only the local music scene, but the best of what American artistry offers to the world.
FOOTNOTE: MTB will be featuring the 2007 Winfield Davis CD, Midnight Player in the weeks ahead.

Bio: When he was 10, Winfield Davis wanted so badly to make music that he built his own guitar. That determination and creativity drove the Bermuda native (who lived alternately in Oberlin Ohio) to become a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and composer, later performing with top acts in Bermuda's thriving hotel nightclub culture. After moving to Florida 15 years ago, Davis -- whose main instrument is bass -- actively partook of the Suncoast music scene, including performing with the popular dance band Ozone. After a brief break, Davis amazingly released two original smooth/"nu"-jazz CDs in the past 12 months. The 11-song "

Where Is Your Music Career Going
Jul 17, 2009
Where Is Your Music Career Going Questions: · Do you have what it takes to make it in the music business? · · Have you done your homework? · · Do you have a plan? These are just a few questions you need to ask yourself before you. · Spend a fortune on equipment and demos · Frustrating your self running around from band to band. · Wasting hundreds maybe thousands of dollars on media shouts and press. Yes I know, this dose not sound like the business that we love so very much but yes, it is and that’s just the beginning. The love of music has driven many of people mad and straight out of their minds. Most times this love starts way back in childhood, at lease it did for me. I remember hearing the Motown songs on the radio and thinking wow. I just couldn’t get enough of it. My older sister would spin her 45’s Yes, 45’s. For those of you who don’t know what a 45 is, no it’s not a gun. :-) We’re talking vinyl here. The days when playing and listening to music was an even in itself. I did not know it then but it was taking hold of me and shaping my life and future. One day I picked up my mothers wooden spoon and realized how much it resembled a drumstick, so I went and got the other one. Needless to say, every time she needed them to mix a cake or to woop my behind she could never find them, “lucky for me” because I would have them somewhere drumming up a storm, beating on anything that remotely sounded like a drum. And So My Story Begins. ***Tell me how you got started***

Hey there,
Welcome to the hottest website for artists and fans alike! It's awesome that you took the time to start up an account for yourself or your work, so allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Steven Robert and I'm an artist/remixer/audio engineer from the DC area. I stumbled onto Soundclick through another artist that hired me to produce beats for him (Charm Sidi) which are on my player. Thanks to the killer feedback and numerous clicks and ratings my work has garnered on here my remix of female fronted industrial rock band Mankind Is Obsolete's single "Silent Killer" has reached #1 on the Industrial Charts and #10 on the Electronica Charts! And there are many ways to promote and advertise yourself, all efficient and inexpensive.
Also don't forget to check out all the other great artists on this site, just by searching through genres you can find all sorts of cool stuff to listen to.
I look forward to hearing from you! Let me know if I can help in any way!
