Songwriter/Singer/Friend...Suganotes is not just a name it's a Sound; "More than one voice" the writer says. Born Crystal Stanley, an Atlanta native, discovered her gift of song at the tender age of 5. Growing up in a broken home, made the road to a musical journey seemed almost impossible for the young songstress. "Finding a way out of poverty was the goal", the writer says. Having little or no support from her parents to nurture her dynamic vocal talent, did not stop this young dreamer from perusing her dreams. "If they won't let me sing, then I know they can't stop me from writing it, or playing it" is what the multitalented artist says. Inspired by the world of music as a whole, Crystal not only sing and write song lyrics, she is also a musician. She is skilled as a Woodwind Specialist, Violinist and a Pianist, and is now taking up the Guitar. She began to write the songs that she creates in the form of music notation so that she could play them on her instruments. She immediately found a love for music composition and notation in her adolescence . Although some consider her artist name to be "Suganotes" you will learn that it in fact is the name of her music! "Sweet music is what I create..." Crystal says, as she laughs at the thought her owning the name "Suganotes" as the artist. There is no particular genre of music that Crystal cannot write to, due to her versatile skill and love for music; she refuses to be classed as one voice! Thus giving her the new slogan "SuganotesSound::More Than 1 Voice". From R&B, Jazz, Acoustic Soul, Pop, Funk, Hip Hop, Gospel, Rock, even Bluegrass, or which ever way the wind blows her, she believes that she is equip with the skills she needs to execute the Will of her creator.
