I live in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia in a very rugged and isolated area called the Blue Ridge. It is beautiful and quietly majestic here with only the sounds of the creek, the birds and the wind for company. It's perfect.
The main principle that guides my life is kindness. I love writing and music, photography and art ... and I try to find beauty and meaning in all things around me. To quote Nelson Henderson: "The true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit."
