Born in 1989, Josh Jameson, widely known by his stage name "Phenom" is a Washington state rapper, music producer, recording engineer and occasional composer. Despite being regarded as an underground artist, Phenom has produced and distributed three full length demo albums, written and recorded over 150 songs and opened for national acts such as Dorrough, Too Short, Andre Nickitina, and Nipsey Hussle. Phenom currently works out of his headquarters located in his hometown, Wenatchee, WA while continuing to write, record, perform, and manage the website: www.PhenomHD.com.
Phenom, began rapping at the age of 16. His passion for freestyle rapping quickly developed into a desire to record. After recording his first 4 songs in a makeshift studio, his personal life hit rock bottom; his father was sentenced to 3 years in prison and his brother was deployed to Iraq. At the young age of 16, Phenom dropped out of high school and spring of 2006 earned his G.E.D., that fall he enrolled in Wenatchee Valley College. Phenom's first time performing was at another local artist's show where his friends pushed him on stage and called out the other artist in a "freestyle" battle. He went on to win the 200 person crowd judged battle and then performed a victory song. Phenom knew immediately that this was the best feeling he had felt in his life....
