Darryl Cathey aka DC Maestro CEO of World Dignity Records ,worked under the Sugarhill Record Label in 1995-1996 I've been on numerous tours, which took me in over 14 countries, and atleast 40 of the United States. My main instrument is piano and keyboards. I studied 10 years in the Nation Guild of Piano Teachers at the age of 17 I knew what I wanted and shorty after graduating high school I went on my way as a professional entertainer.At the age of 19, I was hire by "LIFEstyle" a group that was under the MCA record label at that time.Jerry Ferguson,Wade Davis,Chuck Lee & Johnny Johnson were the act. Jerry Ferguson was the master mind and writer/producer,Jerry Ferguson was one of my mentors,he passed away October 2012.I also have another famous mentor and friend, Mr Pee Wee Ellis,James Brown's music director and saxophonist for over 10 years. I'm currently working on a cd that features Pee Wee. I also have drummer Marvin Bugalu Smith from the legendary group SUN RA on my cd. He is also a mentor of mines.I have my own music/mentoring program, working with young adults and the mental health field. I have my own recording studio and record label. World Dignity Records/Studio. I also work with the Industry, a boys correctional facility,the Villa Of Hope,and the FLDDSO mental health. I produce and engineer thats my every day life. The one thing most important is I know is to stay humble because there is a much higher power that allows glory and only he"GOD'" is worthy of praise
