New axe!
Dec 29, 2009
Got a Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Custom II for Christmas so expect to hear it here on my next recording! I'm lovin' it!
Added a couple of tunes...

...I recorded a year or two ago, prior to having a couple of pieces of gear I have since acquired (including my bass guitar), so these "new" tunes may sound a little rougher than the others. Anyway, Halloween's not that far off so enjoy "Skeleton Jam!" and "Skeleton Crew Theme". Also, "Cool Blue" - all pretty scary :-)

Here's another "work in progress"...
Bob Bogle, R.I.P.
Jun 16, 2009
Sad news from the world of classic instrumental rock, the passing of Bob Bogle, bass guitarist (in the early days, the lead guitarist) with The Ventures. Bob was a founding member of the band alongside Nokie Edwards & Don Wilson back in the late 50's. As big of an influence on me personally as the Beatles were, The Ventures were one of the major reasons I learned to play guitar way back in the early 70's. I still like to play Pipeline and Walk Don't Run currently.

I only have the one song on here now but I think it's a good debut. I plan to put more on here as time permits but working 3 jobs over 7 days a week makes it a little tough to find that time. So, the next time I get creative and come up with a new tune, it'll be here. I put a Chet Atkins disc in my cd changer (remember those?) the other day and noticed it was just under 30 minutes total time and it struck me that that would be the perfect length of my first "CD". Since my tunes are normally pretty short, I could probably fill up 30 minutes with about 15 tunes. I miss the days of albums of that length - I believe Sgt. Pepper might have been around that length, or one of the Beatle albums anyway. So far, no fans but that's alright - I'll take my time putting on songs as I come up with them, hopefully getting better with each one. This place will be the perfect creative motivation. I can't wait to hear what I do next! That's why I do this recording thing.
