I began playing drums at age 14 and have played off and on since then. In some ways, I enjoyed playing much more when I was younger because everything was fresh and new and exciting.
As I got older, people who drank and partied too much, among other things, made me feel like the music had become secondary. I believe I had the talent, but just never ended up in the right situation to show it. A somewhat common occurance I would say.
