I am a professional actor by training, but freely admit that composing music is probably the most beautiful thing I've done with my life. For me, every composition is like a rung on a ladder, which leads to further development as an artist. I have just completed my fourth opera, using text in Ancient Greek for the libretto, and I continue to enjoy writing music to poetry in different languages. I learned piano and cello as a youth, and, when I sang, was a baritone. As a composer, I work simply, without a studio or an instrument, simply using my laptop, and Finale software -- that's it! I have had a bit of success in terms of the charts here on Soundclick, and have charted in eleven different Genres of music here -- Classical, Latin, Jazz, Blues, Country, Acoustic, HipHop (Beats/Instrumentals), Instrumentals (Jazzy Beats), Urban/R&B, Rock, and Reggae (World). I have composed vocal music in English, Russian, French, Haitian-Creole, Hungarian, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Spanish. I have found composing music to be very fulfilling, and I remain ambitious in terms of my desire to write large form performance work -- ballet and opera. Opera is where I find my main interest, and much of what I write musically is directed towards improving my skills as an opera composer. My third opera, is based on the novel by Alexander Solzhenitsyn, "Cancer Ward." It is in seventeen scenes, and is in Russian. I have just completed my fifth opera, and am making plans to begin my sixth.
