Music Genres 1. Blue Grass
Jan 1, 2009
In some regions bluegrass has achieved immense popularity & could arguably be suggested to be the Preceding Founding Genre which ushered in Country Music in its earliest stages. The Carter Family & Jimmy rogers & Ralph Stanley & Bill Monroe all had heavy influences if not Total makeup in BlueGrass Content. Yet it seems that it has remained a narrowly focused genre independently doing its own thing. This is not a bad thing especially in view of its Paralell relationship to Gospel Music . BlueGrass/Contry/ContryGospel has by - en -large avoided the pitfalls of other venues & Genres which allowed 'modern mixing' which for the most part (with some good exceptions thankfull) has watered down good grassroots sounds--.IF IT AIN'T BROKE WHY FIX IT??? I JUST RECENTLY HEARD (& ADDED TO MY FAVORITES BANDS) THE ROSINATORS who are feel are a VERY IMPRESSIVE SOUND.From U.K.(interesting). There are certainly many others includung the Rising String Ensemble of Norman Blake, DOC WATSON , Allison Krauss, & others who incorporate some ie: Ricky Skaggs, Larry & Tony Rice. But the old time BlueGrass Artists Will Always Stand a shoulder above Country & Country Rock--in my estimation. It is Nice to see that it ( B.G.) has held its own in an age of 'infiltration ' of what can only be termed as junk music--(will edit my examples & just call it Mostly the Modern Genres WHICH Leave much to be desired --I KNOW you all wish to make a living which is fine but I would encourage writing & musicianship based on Creative Talent Rather than Shrill & 4-Letter word meaningless & ill thought out 'stuff' .).

Just heard the Rosinators--fm 'jolly old England, you say'!. Fine sounds. Dec. 30/08. "One kind Favor" is a Standout tune. They do many of the old standards( some better than others--but all good nonetheless).
thanks for coming over to soundclick as well , LAURI , too much exposure in the music business is virtually an impossibility & this is another great Venue to spread your fine sound. AND also thanks for adding me your friend list here. WILL 'spread the word'...as I do for all the other fine ones ie: Marilyn Smith & Chris Gill & Brett Wall, Jennifer Nelson et al.
