History in Brief
Shuteyes is an innovative lyricist, a concrete producer, and a real DJ providing the world of you with good hip-hop music. Raised in Buffalo, NY, Shuteyes or 'Shut' has been creating his niche as an original artist for the past 10 years. The youngest son of a university professor, and prep school english teacher the lyrics of Shuteyes present a scholarly, and wildly poetic view of reality. The songs are then paired with his production talent, which is heavily influenced by genres of music like jazz, funk, soul, big band, & blues. In '05 as a structural member of Awkword Silence, a live hip-hop band along side fellow MC's Definition & Daze, Shuteyes began his career touring small circuits in WNY with this original material. Definition & Shuteyes formed It Smells Like Laundry in '07. This pair of producer/Mc's & Dj, have countless shows, a record on Buffalo Mixtapes plan on releasing their debut album in 2010. Wether working with the band, the Laundry group, or solo, Shuteyes has shared the stage with the likes of Wu-Tang, Planet Asia, Afu-Ra, Mr. Lif and many more.
