KillaBeatz is a beatboxer from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario who has an ear for rhythms, basslines, melodies and grooves, which he can channel through his voicebox to create ill vibrations that get the crowd moving. He is also a writer/reviewer for www.sooyorkcity.com.
1. What do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
Well, my name is Robert Drolet. I was born in Brockville Ontario in 1987. I am well known in the Sault as KillaBeatz. I came across that nickname about 4 years ago when I started beatboxing, although at the time I did not know what beatboxing was, I just started making sounds in a beat pattern, thinking it was cool. So yeah, I am a vocal percussionist. I imitate as well as make up different sounds to make beats all done with vocals. Other than that, I am a stay-at-home father of my beautiful little man Preston Robert Michel Drolet, and a fiance to my favourite girl in the world, Lee-Ann Belair.
