I'm 20. I have been playing piano for 13 years. I believe I have a more prolific backround in music for my age because my history. For example, I have done technical support for Korg and Yamaha products. I have helped countless people fix his/her studio. I have been in many preformances and bands. I was in Orchestra for 3 years, and have written for the Tucson Symphony for 3 years (composed scores and parts) and worked with world renown conductor George Hanson. I am a Taxi Music member and have gotten almost all my submissions forewarded. I worked at Guitars Ect for 2 years as recording and keyboard manager. I won countless awards for my achievements in music. I have attended Berklee College of Music and am taking theory and aural perception at Pima College. I was in university recording classes when I was 15. I am interning at matlind recording (credits: remaster of Elvis Persley, recording music for the movie Tombstone, in house producer Gigi Gonoway (credits Mirah Carey) etc...). I have made about 400 songs full to date. I was apart of the Big AZ music Festival, and have been featured composer for the Yamaha's Clavinova festival.

Music and Theory
May 15, 2008
Music is an art. However, there is a definate preferance for the way music should go i.e. theory. Theory is NOT DEFINATELY needed to make a great song, but if the theory is applied, the song could sound a little better for most composers who first start out. Its always best to know the rules (theory) and then choose to break them, than to just go free and hit notes that happen to progress in a harmonically pleasing way which can be interpreted into theory. As an orchestral composer I have to at least understand some theory, so please producers and beatmakers out there... APPLY SOME GENERAL THEORY, because the simplicity and the clashing tritones I hear in a lot of music makes me sad. Please feel free to e-mail me back with comments. :) have a great day. remember life is 5% what happens to YOU and 95% related to how you act on IT.
