Well, My name Is Gino, I am the lead guitarist in a band named Novallo. We are a progressive metal group by definition. The music is very diverse and i personally am very fond of experimental tech metal like Meshuggah, Periphery, Sikth ect. Of course some of my all time favorite bands are Opeth, Tool, System of a Down, and Led Zeppelin, but i have strong roots in classical music being an upright bass player for 10 yrs. and some experiance playing piano as well. Novallo's music is pretty epic, we like to write about mystery, deep thought and controversy. I think the music speaks for itself, were not trying to hit the billboard charts or write catchy pop tunes, but if your a deep listener who apreciates musicianship and unabridged sound-scapes than i think our music would appeal to you.
I have definantly grown more towards the overall picture of song writing, writing guitar parts that are not overdone or "look what i can do" type riffs. I think a key to good music and a solid songs is the balance of musical talent and emotion and mood.
If you like our music please check out our myspace page, and be patient while we finish our EP, were all college students and or full time workers so we like to keep this project sacred and untainted, no rushing to just spit out anything mediocre.
