J.M.E has loved and lived hip hop. He was inspired by the tragic loss of his late cousin, who passed away in 1996, to follow his dream. He studied music like it was his bible. J.M.E then formed a record label with another relative called Twissted Records. He was a member of Twissted Records from 2000 to 2006. During his time at Twissted Records, J.M.E co-wrote 6 projects, 10 mixtapes, along with numerous albums, shows, and collaborations. J.M.E made his move to the south in 2007 to pursue his own music, and later started his own label named Got Heat Ent. in 2008. After creating Got Heat Ent., J.M.E met his music partner Tasco.
Tasco mostly gained his love of music from a very young age by watching his father entertain family and friends by rapping over a beat. Tasco has participated in local shows and produced several mixtapes. When he meet J.M.E, they both knew there there was something special happening with their music, not to mention the brotherly bond. Together, they combined a group and call themselves Dizobedient. Their first mixtape released in 2010 and is called "G101: Born To Ignite". After releasing that mixtape, Dizobedient started working on their websites, videos for album promotion, and a library full of great sounding music. Got Heat Ent. has continued making hit music with the releases of their 2015 singles. Songs include OHH and GHE by Dizobedient, In My Mood and No Brakes by J.M.E, and I Got Peace and OK to CA by Tasco.
