I am a beginning guitar player -( I go by "Jeeps" on Guitar Player& Music Forum)I am inspired by my Classic Rock heros of the 70s 80s and 90s. Now in this modern age I am captivated by Buckethead and other newer artists. I use their music to encourage myself to stay on track and keep pushing. Its sooo tough in the beginning to learn to play. I took up the hobby as therapy to ease the dehabilatating pain and discomfort of Fibromialga and a bad disk in lower spine. I am not going to be band material but hope to grow into a solid studio musician!
I allow the world of music to buffer the sting of losing the ability to do all the fun ,radical ,physical things of my earlier years. Got shut down too soon,so my sweet revenge is the guitar and the internet. All the lessions,software and material you can imagine-NO REALLY ! And most of it FREE.
This is a fine time to be alive. I got my first Electric Guitar at age 43 , dusted off some old cabinets (4X10 & a 15)and put some modeling gear in front of it by Line 6 and Digitech.
I get the tone I want with minimal cost,like I said not looking to play out ,just record in....
