*The Evolution* “Get This Money” While many upstate and “old school” legends are saying that the south is killing hip-hop, younger artists are still bringing in new fresh sounds to the music industry. One of them happens to be “YungDynasty” born Nicholas J. Whiting. Growing up in the state of North Carolina for most of life, he had to grow up quickly and was a straight A student, having to take guidance from his family he took most from his uncles while being raised mostly by his mother and his grandparents. He took close guidance from his uncles and they set a role for him. “Around that time I was real young and they were my biggest heroes. I wanted to be just like them, when they moved out, the people he always looked up to wasn’t there, “That’s where my grandma came in, she cared allot about me and didn’t want me to grow up wrong. He always kept an interest in drums and he would bang on anything he could find and pretty soon develop his own style and lyrics to go along. “They brought me a drum set but it was no match for me, I would make beats all night and then i would make up songs in my head, Sometimes I‘d rewrite songs from Jay-Z in my head, he was my favorite rapper”. He kept music in his heart and never lost passion for it. Being the new generation allot of teens are starting to take over and take hip-hop to new level.
