The talent of Sáloa Farah in music follows her since her childhood. Born in Rio de Janeiro, center of artistic-cultural effervescence. Since she was 4 years old, the future singer touched the feelings of relatives and friends. Sáloa says that learnt to like music listening to the radio when she was only a child. When she was 9, the microphone was not a toy anymore and the girl used to show her voice at parties.
The singer started to learn more taking guitar classes and went for singing with her cousin in pubs of Rio de Janeiro. During the teen years, she discovered on volleyball another passion. With 1.74 meters tall, eleven years old, Sáloa used to play in Iate Clube Jardim Guanabara. In 2002, playing for Fluminense F C she was a state winner.
When she was 16 years old, with her dream already defined, started singing classes in Villa Lobos and took part in many festivals, among them Festivilla and Festival de música do CEPE-FUNDÃO/ PETROBRAS. On the last one, the singer was rewarded to be the best interpreter, in 2005. In 2006, on the second edition of the Festival de música do CEPE-FUNDÃO/ PETROBRAS, Sáloa called the public attention when she interpreted “Pétala”, one of the jurymen, the musician and songwriter Halsey Mendes, found in the young lady’s voice a good shot of success for Popular Brazilian Music.
The identification of Sáloa’s talent and Halsey’s idea resulted in all the originality of her first album “Delicadeza”. The job was supported by Roberto Men
