I'm 32 years old & I live with my boyfriend & 2 cats, Tom & Elvis. I'm a stats sciences and computing student although I make ends meet with freelance data prep, analysis, database/web design, search engine optimisation & applications development. Ok, so far so geeky but my passion is wandering through the foggy overlap between maths & art. I love taking multivariate datasets and using various statistical techniques to find correlations within which I then visualise, in a nonconventional way, giving the variables new interpretation in terms of colour, texture. This process ends with a back to basics interpretation of the visualisation using acrylics on canvas or clay (when I can afford it). I enjoy playing around with form and function using data which has a completely different relevance. I'm not really an artist. Generally, I use Minitab or SPSS depending on the type of analysis required and then AVS Express for the visualisation unless the dataset is small & I can use X3D to interpret the values.
