Picked up my first big boy mic today. A shure sm57 as well as a stand and some cables. I think this will help my recordings out immencely. I can finally hear through speakers what I hear in the room. Bill

Damn I really space these out dont I? Been really busy with work to where I dont get to play music as much as I would like but hey gotta pay the bills somehow right? Anyway For most of my songs I've been using an older version of cakewalk to record with. Well after my last computer crash I decided not to reinstall it. I found a free audio recorder on the net that picks up and mixes sound much better and easier. This will get me through until I get around to getting a 4 track recorder. I did get a new piece of equipment not too long ago. I shelled out for a tube screamer and fell in love with it. It does everything I want it to and more. I've also discovered the click track so I from now on my recordings will be in time, starting with the most recent song "goodnight". I'm also getting better with drum machines so I can do full songs now as a one man band. I think I am going to edit and rerecord some of my older stuff into a better quality now that I know more about music then I did in the original writing. I plan on a 5 song ep by xmas. Got a fender Jimmie Vaughan strat. This thing is a beast. I can sing, cry, scream, and wail. Anything you want really. As far as instruments go this thing is my baby. Though my Musicmaster amp this thing cries the blues. Just put a new song up recorded on my samick. Workin on a new song with my New strat. Im feeling a whammy this time around. Maybe some high gain as well.

I dont have a picture yet, But I picked up a 1972 fender musicmaster bass amp. This is going to be my main amp from now on. I think the tubes will finally give me the sound im lookin for. New recording before xmas I hope. Gambit

Well I dont know how often these will get done, but I figure it is a good way to pass time. First off Ive gotten some new equipment to play with. I picked up a Squier tele and a Wah pedal. As far as recording goes, Im learning more about cakewalk and how to make things sound good on it. I have a few projects in the works right now. Hopefully they will be up in a timely fashion.
