I knew she was a special child from that day”, explains Aretta’s Mother. Born in Akron, OH, this little gift from God was destined to be great. Aretta started singing from a young child. It was not until the age of eight that the community started to recognize her extraordinary vocal ability. Hill Temple First Born Church gave her the first platform to release her music ministry. Surprise by the tremendous range of her vocals and the ability to create music she moved the heart of audience.
Rooted in good music such as Gospel, Neo-Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Rock, and Pop, she embraced the dedication it takes to make it in the music business. Her cousin, Clarence Jones, demonstrated through his career as a promoter that it takes discipline to make a career in this business. She can produce her own music, write songs, and play drums, bass guitar, and the keyboard. Everyday she invests into perfecting her Art. Aretta's sultry, hypnotic hypnotic voice has afforded her opportunities to sing for great artists such as T-Mo Goodie from Goodie Mobb, Ken Orr and Slow Motion Soundz. Also she sang backup and performed on tour with Eric Benet. Aretta has also opened up for artists such as Anthony Hamilton, Urban Mystic, Glenn Lewis, Mystical, Do or Die, and other National Acts. In addition to working with various artists, Aretta is currently finishing work on her first solo project. She is working with various producers, such as Kelvin Wooten, Cory “CP” Parham, MaliBoi, etc. The album
