Calling all Chicagoland R&B artist, producers, & songwriters
Dec 26, 2007
Wat up world! I'm ChiTown writer, I'm inviting all you ChicagoLand R&B artists, producers, & songwriters male/female who would be interested in making a R&B compilation album with me to hit me up. It would not only be just a great compilation, but a showcase of all who participate. We all have to start somewhere and with us helping each other whether it be with songwriting, producing, or singing we all will have improved in some areas of our talent. Me, I bring to the table my songwriting ability for male or females. I also can sing well enough so a singer can feel where I'm coming from, which I think is vital as a songwriter. Also financially, I will do what is needed to promote this album whether it be making copies, t's, promo cards, etc. Well I think enough said for now. All I can do is hope you all who are interested respond and leave contact info. COPY and PASTE http://www.soundclick.com/members/default.cfm?member=Chitown%20Writer

In 2005, J Starks continued exercising his passion for music and began recording in Illinois' StudioChicago, creating the female-craved hit "Ice Cream, Soda Water." After shopping his demo around to labels, management companies, and in major events, J still needed an outlet to reach the masses of the music industry. In July 2006, J Starks was introduced to H24 Records owner, Joey "Hitman" Mitchell by songwriter Jose "Zeah" Gonzalez Jr.

Just so you know, I recorded two verses on the track "Closet full of Bapes" thats currently on my page. I go by the name Mav'Rik
After exploiting his music talents to Hitman, the two instantly began working in the studio. In August 2006, J Starks released his first mixtape "Hip-Hop is MySpace", which included the club hits "Do Your Thing" and "5-0" produced by Super Producer Halfman Halfamazin. Receiving great responses on his first mixtape, J Starks is on the road to emerging out as Chicago's next in-charge.
