L Johnson born June 2,in Waterford, Kingston Jamaica is one of the best examples for the word determination. His first experience in the music business was at the side of a piano player for the late Barry White named Rudolph Reid. Read taught Tommy the basics of music production and how to compose music. After the death of Reid Tommy found himself working with various R&B acts and ghost writing for local rap acts in Miami and Atlanta Georgia. Tommy worked with Slip n Slide artist J-shin while producing with Rudolph Reid. Tommy at the time attended Miami Carol City, a school which has given the world notable big name stars such as Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss and rap star Flo rida to name a few. Living in Carol City Tommy was definitely a product of his environment. “I watched a lot of my friends die before graduating High school, dudes that I use to hustle and get money with. At that point I realized that I had to do more than just hustle and start putting my talents to use. I left the street life alone and focused on making it in the business. I remember girl R&B groups paying me to write them songs and dudes paying me to write there rhymes for talent shows, money like that I didn’t have to watch my back if the cops were coming or somebody trying to rob me”. Currently trying to break into the main stream Tommy is currently booking shows, promoting and protesting for air play on local Miami radio stations such as Power 96 and 99 jamz. Tommy like Lex Luger is definitely the total package.
