I'm an average guy who loves music and all things related to music.
I enjoy the black art of Pickup Winding and all things Tone!! I love guitars and say you can never have enough of them. I am a hack musician who believe it or not used to play in a few bands in my younger days but have not kept up with practicing in my later years and have forgotten most of my playing skills.
I have an intense desire to help other musicians to improve their tone, thats why I go into pickup winding. I always knew I could make a pickup that was better than the factory stuff out there.
I wind all my pickups by hand, not sitting winding 1 layer at a time with my hands, I have a machine that turns the bobbin and I hand guide and hand tension the wire. An automated machine just cant do the winds like hand winding.
I will note that not all machine wound pickups are not good, Take the PAF pickup of the early days, They were machine wound and a lot of them sound pretty darn good, not all though. I wont bore you with the PAF story it would take a lot more room and time than I have here.
I am a single parent of 2 kids, one 15 year old daughter in high school and a son 10 years old in elementary school and I am so proud of both of them. I also have twin daughters who are almost 3 years old who live most of the time with my 2nd wife (EX). They are the world to me as are my other 2 kids. I thank GOD for them, they are truly a Gift.
I am 43 and love the outdoors and the ocean.
