Christopher J. Ivery aka DollarCat came a long way with being an artist. DollarCat is from a neighborhood known as Studewood which is located on the northside of Houston Texas. He started off just being a freestyle rapper in middle school where he attended M.C. Williams. Since way back then a group of people recognized his musical talent and convinced him that he should become more serious with becoming a rapper.At the time, DollarCat was sport oriented and played basketball.That career slowly ended after the death of his father whereas he was still recovering from the death of his mother which happened when DollarCat was only 9 years old.Since the death of his parents occurred at an early age for DollarCat, it forced him to be a man before his time. By the time he was in HighSchool, he was just to frustrated in his own mind to finish school, so he dropped out of Northbrook High School. At the time he was living with his big sister and he built a home studio out her apartment.This is where his music career begun.DollarCat was the originator of a Local Rap Group called"Run Yo Mouth Click Stunnaz"(RYMC) which he started a powerful grind with from the years of 2000 to 2005, dropping over 17 mixtapes which he engineered his self. DollarCat and RYMC sold thousands of mixtapes in the streets which kept the squad financially comfortable.The deal behind RYMC went sour after hooking up with an invester which turned individuals in the group to go seperate ways.
