Lateasha (jhyce) Allen is an up and coming known as the "queen" of the midwest born and raised on the north side of Flint Michigan. Jhyce has been surrounded by music her entire life. At a very early age Jhyce started writing full songs and taught herself how to play the drum set, from that point forward she knew that she had a very strong passion for music. Jhyce graduated from Flint Southwestern Academy and is currently studying music production at Washtenaw Community College to better prepare herself for what the industry has to offer. Her influences are Mc Lyte, Queen Latifah, Lil Kim, 2 Pac, Notorious B.I.G, Lil Wayne, Jay Z and her every day life. After being disappointed with the lack of female artist in the industry Jhyce is motivated to become the best female rapper of her generation. Jhyce has worked with many up and coming artist and producers. She started off recording with producer Myke J and later worked with producer Benji who works with Bernard Terry (MC Breed) (Ready For the World) producer Dboy (Patch Werks studio in ATL) and many others. Jhyce currently has a single “Real Good” (produced by Benji) playing on local radio stations. She recently released her deput mixtape “ No Money No Reason” which can be downloaded free on www.datpiff.com & other sites. The next project "beauty is the beast" will be released soon.
