I've been playing the guitar for 10 years now and composing my own music for 6 years. I mainly play electric guitar but I also try to improve on the acoustic as well. Besides guitar I can handle bass and a bit of keyboards. I've never had any formal training in music and composition but I took lessons over a 3 year period primarily focusing on various aspects of technique. As a player/songwriter I try to be as versatile as I can though most of my favorite bands are within the metal and rock genre. I am also interested in music production. I soon hope to record some material that I've written and to get the project going.
My current rig consists of an Ibanez Prestige RGA121 (with Bareknuckle Miracle Man in bridge and Cold Sweat in neck position), an Ibanez 7621 (with DiMarzio D-Sonic in bridge and Air Norton in neck position), a Jackson SLSMG (with Seymour Duncan SH-6 both in neck and bridge) and a Hohner acoustic guitar. I do my drums with Steven Slate EX 3.5. My DAW is Cubase 5. For guitars I use Pocket Pod, Guitar Rig 4 and ReValver MKIII. Electronic stuff is done with Reason 4 and Absynth 4.
At the university I studied environmental engineering and graduated with a MSc degree. In spite of that it still seems that music is the path for in this life :)
