Mildred Maria Cetino is a talented versatile bilingual singer who was born in Manhattan, New York City. Mildred is a small frame Latina with brown hair, brown eyes;, and is five feet tall. At the age of three, Mildred began singing and playing the congas in a Pentecostal Church in The Lower East Side in Manhattan. This is where Mildred developed the interest for music and singing. At the age of five her mother hired a guitar instructor. She stopped receiving guitar lessons due to the death of her mother at the age of eight. Mildred composes songs, dances and also took singing lessons at Henry Street Settlement Arts and Abron's Center in Manhattan's Lower East Side when she was nineteen years old. Mildred has been writing songs since February 3, 1993.
She has the knowledge of writing different styles of songs which promotes her versatility. In Spanish she is fluently capable of writing reggaeton, salsa, merengue & ballads. In English she is creative in R&B, Slow ballads, Reggaeton, Freestyle, pop and also writes Hip-Hop versus. She enjoys Afro-American Rhythms , club, dance, alternative rock, Gospel Rhythms, Latino Rhythms, Soft rock, Alternative music and slow ballads. Mildred always had a good ear for music tracks and beats where she could quickly develop the lyrics to a song for the tracks. She has also appeared in a dance video featured by the group"Projecto Uno" for the song "Pump It" back in November of 1996 at Club Twenty-Twenty in midtown Manhattan. In April 2001 she joined Baby Girl Entertainment and was offered tracks to write to by one of Aleeya's music producers. She was also in the website featured by Baby Girl Entertainment managed by Marisa King. In May 2006 she auditioned for Mystry Records featured by Jive Records at the Iguana Nightclub on 54th Street in Manhattan. She also performed three consecutive Wednesdays at the Iguana Night Club. On July 2006 she worked with producer Joseph Malloy which also had a record out in the mid 80's called "Fly Girl". Joseph Malloy worked with Mildred Cetino and Grandmaster Melly-Mel on a song from Melly-Mel's new upcoming album called "Muscles". Mildred Cetino worked recording adlibs to the track. She worked with producer/Musician Ronald Bostick recording r&b, dance/pop, reggaeton and ballads. Currently we’re working on promoting new dance album. Ronald Bostick has worked recording Bass on SWV’s album in 1991 and was awarded by RCA. The album sold 2,000,000 copies of CD’s and tapes. In December 2011 she also appeared on Pretty Face's music video featuring Smoothe Da Hustler for song "Brag".
Following her singing career as a Singer/Songwriter/Recording Artist, her genre of songs consist of--R&B, ballads, reggaeton, dance/pop, salsa. Upcoming Album features dance & pop. ASCAP member since 2001 and she's been a Songwriter’s Hall of Fame member since 2010. She has engaged in a songwriters worshop affiliated with the Songwriters Hall of Fame to share her talent and collaborate with songwriters and idustry professionals & allow other songwriters and industry professionals listen to her creativity.
